The Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris launches into a new era of development that results in a new development plan leading to the re-qualification of the park and the construction of 1800 new housing units and 10 new residence. Three of them are intended for country residence independent to CIUP.
The first country to engage in this project is Korea, who signed March 17, 2014 an agreement for the construction of a Korean Residence, Maison de la Corée. The association de la Maison de la Corée is the Client of the project.
The Maison de la Corée is to “enable students, faculty and researchers, artists and Koreans top athletes find the accommodations in the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) and enjoy all the benefits to stay in this institution.
As like other residences of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, the Maison de la Corée will be a place of international and interdisciplinary exchange, in compliance with the goals and values of the campus.
Jae Young CHOI has been missioned as the Client’s Paris representative of Korean Foundation and Korean Ministry of Education since the birth of the project. His mission varies from technical coordination to manage the diplomatic coordination related to this project between Korea and France.
